Self Catering Holiday Cottages in Rural Cornwall.

Tucked away in rural Cornwall, Cornwall cottage holidays at Tor View Farmhouse provides the perfect base for exploring an area renowned for its’ famous historic houses and gardens. Just a short distance from the magnificent Lanhydrock House, which also leads down to the Fowey river valley, the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan or discover the coastal delights of the Cornish Riviera – home to picturesque fishing villages and secluded beaches, like Ready Money Cove, just 15 minutes away, or head north west to Padstow and the surfing beaches. The Saints Way Footpath passes by the front drive and crosses Cornwall from Padstow to Fowey. Utilising the great outdoors three must see attractions in close proximity are the world famous Eden Project, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Square-rigged Sailing Ships at Charlestown. Improve your putting on site or nearby Lanhydrock or Lostwithiel Golf Clubs provide the perfect opportunity to play a full 18-holes and are set in beautiful countryside or just stop in either for lunch. For something a little different Bodmin Jail provides a unique visitor attraction and can be found along the route of the Camel Trail, a delightful cycle route along the banks of the River Camel. Away from the countryside the south coast of Cornwall, affectionately referred to as the Cornish Riviera or Daphne de Maurier country, is home to traditional fishing villages and secluded beaches just waiting to be explored. With its dramatic coastline and a variety of terrain this is truly a walkers’ paradise and forms part of the South West Coastal Path. After a busy day exploring take time to sample the local produce on offer at in the Panda Inn, in Lanivet , so called because the village was famous for growing bamboo for the panda’s at London Zoo. There is also the Crown, in the nearby village of Lanlivery and reputed to be one of Cornwall’s oldest pubs.
